BRISBANE TAKES ON CLUB BRP 2022
I recently attended Club BRP in Salt Lake City, USA, which was a three-day showcase of upcoming models for Sea-Doo and Can-Am On-Road and Off-Road. This is an annual Global Product Reveal, which we haven't been able to attend for the last few years, and it was exciting to be able to check out all the exciting new models in person.
A big highlight of Club BRP is the BRP Showroom, where all the new models are on display. I headed straight to the new Sea-Doo Switch pontoon boats and wasn’t disappointed. The Switch has generated a lot of interest, so I was keen to check out its many features. I found it very spacious and well-appointed. Also impressive was the new Sea-Doo “Explorer”, with its extended grab rail and removable windscreen, which I think will prove very popular in Australia with our customers.
Another product range I was interested in learning more about was the new Can-Am electric motorbikes - the Origin and the Pulse. When I was riding and racing bikes back in the 70’s, Can-Am was THE bike we all aspired to own, so I’m looking forward to these new models being just as successful and highly regarded as they were back then.
Demo Day is another great feature of Club BRP, and is an opportunity to trial new models and discuss their features with BRP Product Specialists. We were well taken care of, with shaded areas and refreshments provided. Really enjoyed trialling the Switch and was impressed by its stability and manoeuvrability. I also checked out the new RXPX Apex, the most high-performance personal watercraft made by Sea-Doo. With a carbon fibre hood, hydraulic steering and an over-sleek design, it will be a popular choice this Summer.
After the Club event, I spent some time with my daughter, who flew down from New York City and joined me in Salt Lake City. We hiked in Big Cottonwood Canyon which was a great experience. Over the next few days, we visited some museums and the beautiful Red Butte Gardens, which co-incidentally were established in 1987, the year we started selling personal watercraft.
Club BRP is always a very well-organised and interesting product showcase and is a great way to see and learn about all the upcoming new models. I enjoyed catching up with BRP Product Specialists who have previously visited us in Australia, and reconnecting with other Australian and International BRP Dealers, and BRP Australia support staff.
I look forward to attending Club 2023 to witness more exciting new releases.
